One year ago, I was blessed with the opportunity to photograph the birth of sweet Karlee Layne.

First birthdays are so special; it’s amazing to see a sweet baby grow and change. Celebrations of life are so fun to document and I feel so thankful to be able to share this portrait with you.

It’s hard to believe an entire year has passed since Katie was born! You can see her newborn pictures here. It is so fun and such a blessing to see these sweet babies growing up. I love to see their personalities blooming and to watch as they interact with their families.

Last weekend, I had the fabulous opportunity to be the photographer at the Spring Fling 2011 Luncheon for the Red Hat Society. If you’re not familiar with the Red Hat ladies, you should go check out their website to learn who they are and why they wear their Red Hats.

It was so fun to see them all dressed up in their Red and Purple best. I am very thankful for the opportunity of helping them preserve these precious memories.

Surrounded by family and close friends, Bonnie and David renewed their wedding vows in a very cozy, intimate ceremony. With the church still decorated with beautiful Christmas decorations and the lights low, the atmosphere was one of love and warmth. The love these two have for each other was evident in the emotion they had as they repeated their vows to each other.

Bonnie and David, thank you for choosing me to capture this precious time in your relationship. I know you will cherish these photographs for many years as a remembrance of the renewing of your vows. I pray God’s blessing on your relationship and your family. Congratulations to you both.

What to Wear for Fall Family Sessions | {Amarillo Family Photographer}

With all of the fall family photo sessions taking place, I am often asked, “What should we wear?” I highly discourage bright white shirts and the whole everyone needs to match ideas. It’s a good idea to choose 2-3 colors and then have everyone coordinate with those colors.

Cheryl Smith and her sweet mother were both celebrating milestone birthdays so they had a fantastic family birthday party. This family is definitely one of the sweetest, most loving families that I have ever been around. I am most thankful for the time I was able to spend with these wonderful people. It was awesome to see a group of people who truly love each other and appreciate the time they are all able to spend just being together.

Happy Birthday! And, thanks so very much for choosing me to help capture these precious memories for your family. I am honored and have been truly blessed by you all.

Beauty Expo

Tomorrow, I will be in Panhandle at the Woman’s Beauty Expo taking before and after pictures of all of the wonderful make-overs. There will be demonstrations of botox and other really cool things. Door prizes will be given away. If you’re at all interested, you should come. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
