It’s such a great joy to watch these babies grow into toddlers, and it is so much fun to get to photograph all of these milestones in their lives.

Holly’s youngest two kiddos just had birthdays, so it was a perfect opportunity to update their portraits! We met at the park and the kids loved the fountain and the mist felt great since it was so hot!

So, I met Lindsey and her (3) siblings at the park to photograph their 6 kiddos together. It was fun trying to capture all of their personalities as they ran about playing. I had to wait to post their portraits for Grandma’s surprise, but I’ve heard that she loves them and that I can post them.

When I was chatting with Crystal about what Colton is “into” these days, she said CARS! So, I asked her to bring some of his favorites and I brought along a fun prop and picked up some super-fun locations. I feel like we nailed the Car theme! And, of course, we had to go to a playground for some more fun.

At the end of the session, we did some updated Easter portraits and some fun Mom & Me portraits.

Crystal and Trey… thanks, again, so very much for choosing me to help preserve these sweet memories for your family. I very much enjoy seeing Colton each and every time and it is fun to see him changing into a big boy!

Abby and Justus are so adorable and so very much fun to play with and photograph. Abby brought her baby that she’s had all of her life and Justus brought his skateboard. How fun to have both posed and fun pictures.

Here are some ideas on how to dress the kiddos for the winter sessions.

Early one morning, we visited a pumpkin patch which he was not impressed with! ha! So, we changed locations and pulled out some props and he seemed to like that much better. What boy doesn’t love things with wheels?!?!

I asked Dustin what they like to do together and his reply was quick and easy… baseball. He said Brycen will play catch or hit balls all day long. So, I told him to bring their baseball gear and we met at a park.

And… they played.

And… I captured the moments.

Then, we went to a playground and then we did a few “posed” poses.

JoLee and her mom live in Canadian (hence the Wildcats cheerleading outfit) and JoLee’s big sister marches in the band at WTAMU (hence the WTAMU cheerleading outfit)! I love taking portraits to the next level, by not just taking the “standard” pose (which I do plenty of, also!), but I love to capture and incorporate who the subject is.

Since JoLee’s birthday is obviously during the month of October, we simply had to visit a pumpkin patch! It was fun gathering pumpkins and riding in the wagon.

Her mom had asked me about doing some with these pearls. The pearls belonged to Cayli’s great-grandmother. Isn’t that sweet? I just love how they turned out.
